An old African proverb says "It takes a village to raise a child". Certainly there's a truth in this proverb in this day of fractured and broken families, damaged social structures, and general dysfunction in society. The truth is, successfully becoming a productive member of society is, and always has been, a task in which the entire society has a contribution. It's all about the connections in life that help determine who we are an what values we hold.

At RISEGO our program is built around encouraging healthy connections where those exist and forming ones where there are none. For that reason, one of our primary goals is not only to help students learn about business, but to model it for students and (where practical) have business owners take a mentoring role in the lives of young entrepreneurs.
